About

Fifteen years, three cities, one obsession

I started in editorial, spent a decade in agencies and now work directly with founders. Most projects run six to ten weeks, start to finish.

How a project runs

Eight weeks, three stages, no surprises

Every project I take on runs the same way, and you see work in the first fortnight.

Week one

Reading

Everything you have already written down, plus conversations with the people who will have to live with the result.

Weeks two to four

Drawing

Two directions, shown early and shown rough. We kill one together before either gets expensive.

Weeks five to eight

Building

Type, colour, layout and every state of every component, in a file your developers can actually open.

Services

How we can work together

Identity

from £6,000

Naming, marks, type and a system your team can actually use.

Website

from £9,000

Design and build, from the first sketch to the day it ships.

Art direction

day rate

Photography, campaigns and the taste to say no to the wrong idea.

“She showed us two directions in a fortnight and then argued us out of the one we liked. She was right. The thing we shipped is the thing people can actually use.”
