Most of you will fly into Tan Son Nhat, the city's airport, which is about forty minutes from Thao Dien by taxi outside the rush hours. Use the metered taxis or a ride-hailing app from the official rank; the fare is modest and drivers know the area well.
The river bus is the prettiest way over.
Thao Dien is across the river from District 1, the old centre. The river bus is the prettiest way over: boats leave from Bach Dang pier every half hour, and the Thao Dien stop is a five-minute walk from the venue. On the wedding day there will be taxis waiting at the gate from half past midnight.
If you have an evening free, walk out onto the Thu Thiem bridge at sunset. It is where Khoa proposed, and where the photographs on this site were taken.
