Nineteen volunteers turned up at nine on Saturday, and by noon Orchard Lane had lost forty-two bags of litter, two shopping carts and a sofa that had been on the corner since August.
The youngest volunteer this week was eight, and in charge of the cones.
The clean-ups started as a way for families to volunteer together, and they still are: the youngest this week was eight and in charge of the cones. The city lends us the tools and collects the bags on Monday.
