Fog does the editing for you. Everything behind the second tower is simply gone, and what is left is a line drawing — two verticals, a curve, and a road that stops existing about a third of the way across.
I have photographed this bridge on clear days and the pictures are postcards. On this morning it was a diagram of itself.
Exposure is the whole problem. Meter for the fog and the cables vanish; meter for the cables and the fog turns grey and dead. I ended up a stop over and pulled it back.
