Move the slow stock back
Stock that sells slowly moves to the high racks at the back of the store, and the fast lines for the season take the ground-level locations nearest the dock doors. It adds a night of work in October and saves hours every day in December.
People, not just space
We train our seasonal team in October, not the week they start, and every new starter works beside someone who has done a December with us before. The busiest week is not the week to learn where the freezer door is.
