The top is four boards, book-matched and held with breadboard ends so it can move with the seasons without splitting. The legs are drawbored into the rails, which is slower than a bolt and is the reason this outlives the room it goes in.

Six weeks to the day, delivered by two people who put it together and took the packaging away. It is the first table I have owned that does not wobble.

The breadboard ends have moved a couple of millimetres over the winter, exactly as the care page said they would. No split.
