From June to September the south-east trade wind blows steadily, the sea on the exposed coasts turns rough, and the ferry to Praslin can be a long hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The question is not heat but wind.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The calm months are the changeovers: April and May, then October and November. The water is flat and clear enough to see the reef from the boat, and the beaches on La Digue are at their best. December to March is warmer and wetter, with short, heavy showers that clear in an hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is why our departures fall in March, May, October and December.
