About this tour
The inner islands of the Seychelles are close enough to hop between by ferry, and different enough to feel like three separate trips. Mahé has the mountains and the markets, Praslin the old palm forest, and La Digue the famous granite beaches and hardly any cars.
We travel between them the way islanders do, stay in guesthouses run by the families who own them, and time each beach for the hour it is at its best. Most days include a walk of two or three hours; none of them is hard.
Amina Laporte has led this tour since 2016. She was born on Praslin, speaks English, French and Creole, and knows the ferry crews by name.

Day by day
The plan as we run it. Weather and ferries sometimes move a day; your guide will always tell you why.
Day 1
Mahé: arrival
Amina meets you at the airport and drives the Sans Souci road over the mountains to our guesthouse above Beau Vallon. Swim, sleep, and dinner together on the beach.
Day 2
Mahé: Copolia and the south coast
An early walk to the granite dome of Copolia for the view over Victoria, then the quiet beaches of the south coast and a Creole lunch at Anse Intendance.
Day 3
By ferry to Praslin
The morning ferry to Praslin, an hour across the channel. The afternoon at Anse Lazio, where the boulders reach into the water at both ends of the bay.
Day 4
Praslin: Vallée de Mai
A morning in the palm forest of Vallée de Mai with a ranger, listening for the black parrot and looking up at the coco de mer. Free afternoon.
Day 5
Praslin: Curieuse by boat
A day on the water: the giant tortoises and mangroves of Curieuse, then snorkelling off St Pierre, the islet you will know from a hundred postcards.
Day 6
Across to La Digue
Fifteen minutes by boat to La Digue, where bicycles replace cars. Ride to L’Union and Anse Source d’Argent as the tide goes out.
Day 7
La Digue: the east coast on foot
The path from Grand Anse over the headland to Petite Anse and Anse Cocos: sand, granite and nobody else until lunch.
Day 8
La Digue: a day of your own
Snorkel off Coco Island with Amina, cycle to the island’s north tip, or do very little at all.
Day 9
Back to Mahé
The ferry back to Mahé, the market in Victoria, and a farewell dinner on the west coast.
Day 10
Departure
Transfers to the airport for the afternoon flights to Europe.
