In that time the goods-in team checks four things, in the same order every time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Temperature first<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A probe reading from the product itself, not the air in the trailer, and the trailer&#039;s own temperature record for the journey. A reading outside the agreed range stops the pallet on the dock and the client hears from us before it is unloaded any further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paperwork, labels, wrap<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The delivery note is checked against the booking, every case label is scanned, and the stretch wrap is inspected for tears. A torn wrap on a frozen pallet lets in warm air at every door it passes, so it is re-wrapped before it goes into the freezer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only then does the pallet get a location, and the photograph of it on the dock goes into the client&#039;s portal the same minute.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four minutes at the dock door: temperature, paperwork, labels and the wrap.
