The ground held up better than the forecast suggested, and the warm-up arena took the worst of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clear rounds all morning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 60cm clear-round class ran from nine until almost noon. Twenty-three of the twenty-eight starters went clear, and every one of them took home a rosette, which is rather the point of the class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The best thing about the league is that the ponies improve as much as the riders. By round four you can see it.<\/p>\n<cite>Sarah, head instructor<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The open class<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 1m open was won by Priya Nair on Dandelion, the only double clear of the day, with Marcus Hale second after a rail down in the jump-off.
