On the Riverside block every window sits under the balcony of the flat above, and each balcony projects far enough to shade the glass below it when the summer sun is high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each balcony is the sunshade for the window below it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In winter the sun is low enough to reach under the balconies and warm the floors.
